Soda City Pressure Wash did a deck staining in West Columbia, SC. We used a Semi-Transparent stain from the Sherwin-Williams Super Deck line. The color was Charwood. It really popped against the light grey's. It was our first time using a water based stain. It took a little getting used to but we figured it out and it turned out really well. Main difference to the water based versus oil is it doesn't penetrate the wood. It sits on top like a paint. Which means you don't get a grainy look like you do with oil. My opinion, oil looks better, but this turned out great and the customer was very happy.
