Will it damage my plants?
Beds get soaked before we start and rinsed again after, which dilutes anything that reaches them. Tell us about anything delicate and we cover it.
How often should a house be washed?
In the greater Columbia area's humidity, most homes want it every 12 to 18 months. Shaded and tree-lined lots are closer to 12.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as we can get to the whole property, with any gates left open, and reach an outside tap. We text before we arrive and again when we finish, with photos.
What if it rains?
We reschedule at no charge. Rain after the wash is fine. The work is already done by then.
Why Columbia houses go green
Columbia is hot, humid and shaded. The old streets near the university and Five Points sit under oaks that keep the north side of a house damp from May to October, and algae and mildew want nothing more. The shaded wall is always the first to show it.
The newer neighborhoods in the Northeast have their own version. Vinyl siding and light trim show every streak, and pollen off the pines cakes on in spring, then holds moisture through the summer. A soft wash clears both, and the growth stays away longer than a pressure wash because the cleaner kills it at the root.
